The name of the hotel and casino was changed to Planet Hollywood in 2007. The Aladdin closed in 1997 and was demolished to make room for the new Aladdin. The building was heavily renovated and received an Arabian Nights theme. However, there were a lot of issues with licensing and a casino was not opened on the property until Milton Prell bought the hotel in 1966.
